Travers Tool WESTEC Raffle Winner Announced

Congratulations to Neal Feay, winner of our WESTEC raffle prize giveaway! Neal wins a quality product any machinist would love, the OTMT X2 Mini Milling Machine valued at $749.99.

While this mini milling machine may be smaller in size, it more than makes up for that with all of its handy features. The variable speed control and gear drive saves time when milling and drilling. The head also tilts a full 45° to the left or right to give you greater control and accuracy while working. There s a fine feed for milling and a coarse feed for drilling, plus an easy-to-read dial with .0001" increments so you get the right setting. Efficient 1/2 HP, 110 Volt motor has two spindle speeds. The low range offers 0-1,100 RPM, while the high range delivers 1,100-2,500 RPM. Table size is 15"L x 3-1/2"W with a 3.93" x 8.66" travel.
Check out Neal pictured below showing off his new machine with his coworkers.

Travers.com Mobile Site is Here!

The mobile device friendly Travers.com website experience is now up and running. Starting March 1st, when a user accesses the Travers.com website from their Android, iPhone, or Blackberry mobile device, they will be automatically directed to the mobile version of the website. It presents the search engine, category structure and products in a more friendly way for the screen being used to view the site.

If the user still would like to view the full Travers.com website, they have the option to click over from the mobile experience at any time. The only thing that the mobile version of the website does not have is a fully functioning shopping cart. They will still be able to create a cart (or list) and email that list to themselves, forward to another email address, or forward to Travers for review.

From any browser, laptop, PC or mobile device, you can access the mobile-friendly Travers.com @ http://www.travers.com/m.

Please post any comments (good or bad) concerning the new experience so we can continue to better the customers’ mobile experience.

Thanks for following our blog and enjoy the new site!
